Peoples Gas employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why employees chose to donate $5,000 to After School Matters and Special Olympics Illinois.
The donations are part of the Peoples Gas Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
After the fourth quarter of 2025, they selected After School Matters, which provides Chicago high school students with opportunities to develop their talents through after-school and summer programs, and Special Olympics Illinois, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to create an inclusive community for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
After School Matters and Special Olympics Illinois are two of dozens of nonprofit organizations Peoples Gas is proud to support every year.
